To coincide with the anniversary of the Tribute Concert the 'Five Live EP' is released. It features George Michael's version of 'Somebody to Love' - one of the highlights of the tribute concert. It enters the UK chart at number one and stays there for five weeks - with all profits going to charity (the Mercury Phoenix Trust). Whilst the UK got the EP some territories were issued with 'Somebody To Love' as a single and 'Five Live' as a mini album.
Brian is still busy touring, and much to the fans delight releases a live album 'Live At Brixton Academy'. A single CD release, it did miss out a few highlights. One being a cover of John Lennons "God". For whatever reason, Yoko Ono, the rights holder denied permission for the song to be used.
A remixed version of Freddie's 'Living On My Own' is released, reaching number one in the UK, and eventually selling more than two million copies worldwide.
With Brian continuing touring, Roger starts work on his next solo album.
