Hi all,
Find attached my satellite recording of this excellent BBC documentary.
Recorded using Dreambox 8000 and converted to DVD without any re-encoding so no loss of quality.
Includes simple text menus and subtitles.

Note there are two titles, one for each part.
Each title has a chapter menu. From the main menu you can go to both parts.

Have fun,
Frank

Thanks so much for this!!!  What a great documentary this turned out to be!!!  There's plenty of little things peppered throughout for the die hard Queen fans...although I admit that now I'm curious just HOW much unseen material there is in the archives!  Part 1 was a bit better than part 2 in my opinion...but the video of Freddie from the DOOL video shoot was painful to watch...I always get a little sad for Fred every time I see something like this!!  Gonna go listen to my remasters for a few hours!!!!

I forgot to mention that the DVD has simple text menus and the original subtitles are included as well.

Someone asked for the Hammersmith concert.
This has been broadcasted in 2009 and I did share it then.
Not sure whether the torrent is still active.

BTW that one doesn't have subtitles.
If people want it again with subtitles, I can make a new share of that.

Enjoy!

Thanks a lot for the upload.

Why is the size so small for a two hour video?  I was expecting a full dual layer DVD of 8GB, so I guess the original source from the broadcasters is heavily compressed.

That is indeed the case.
In order to fit more channels on a transponder, lower bitrates are used.
The bitrate here is around 3 Mb/s which is typical for standard quality broadcast.
BTW also on digital cable or terrestrial broadcast similar bitrates and the same MPEG compression techniques are being used.

Greetings,
Frank

You can only see your share ratio on your own torrent page.  This site does not keep track of share ratios like the dimeadozen site.  No one is going to punish you if you don't seed after you complete the download.  We act on our own conscience here :-)

Just finished watching this........absolutely brilliant !  Best Queen doco since Magic Years 1989..... seeing Freddie's end still makes me cry  - I'm a male in my mid 30's and have been a Queen fan since I was 13 years old. I haven't felt so emotional about Queen for a long time but it just goes to show how much I  (and most fans here) love this band and how big a part it has (and will continue) to play in my life........ God bless Freddie....Long Live Queen !!!

The reason I could not see part two was because it was showing a blank white screen, that only revealed the menu items when the mouse pointer moved over them.  I was using VLC Media Player but it might work better on a disc, otherwise I will do another menu.

Dear Alex Solan,

Great artwork and I don't want to nit-pick but the spelling of  ' rejuvenated ' on the DVD case cover is incorrect. You've got  'rejuvinated'.

Otherwise it looks like an official BBC release, brilliant work.
