I dont understand these shares. There are no info whatsoever, wouldnt including info benefit all of us?

It's apparently a flac version plus artwork jpgs. You can see it like this:

click on the torrent file and choose "open" instead of "download", your BitTorrent client opens and will show you the files including file size. 2 CDs with approx 350 MB each looks like flac.

Hi, I can understand your concerns, but I did notice that these recordings have been requested over the past weeks, and I have been in contact with some of these persons to share this in a private way.

I did find these recordings on the Queenhub, and in this manner, there is no more information on the details of these recordings. And I have neither the knowledge nor the interest to learn all about audio recordings, flacs etc.

For these recordings I have been able to download via this site, I will try to share using the same torrents, and just do the seeding.

For those recordings that are not shared (and for the ones I have recently uploaded, none were shared before, according to my search activities), either we accept that these are not shared in QZ, or we accept that these are shared without the information that some of you would like to know.

Yeah, stupid FLAC... this shift in mentality only gave us things like the new (and often master) tapes from Portland 74, Dallas 78, Vancouver 78, two nights in London 84, Manchester 86, etc. - but note that these tapers shared their material elsewhere, and not here... and you probably will never understand why.

Unearth a new thirty-year-old tape and then tell us you've done something worth reading about.

Congratulations, you found a lot of stuff that's commonly available... just not here.

Tell me, what exactly have you given back to the world of collecting that has given so much to you?  I'm talking about tracking down new recordings that 99% of collectors haven't heard before, so re-sharing things here or in the hub doesn't count.  So in other words, since the answer to that question is precisely "zero", the question is therefore revised to... what in your ungrateful and clearly mean-spirited mind warrants your lashing out against contributing members?

And on top of that, what in your mind is somehow convinced that lashing out against these kinds of people will actually spawn new recordings?  Or are you one of those people who thinks new recordings magically fall out of the sky, i.e. not considering the process that gets the recording from the concert venue to you to point, click, and download ?

3 Upload sections:

Videos, DVDs etc.
The upload MUST AT LEAST contain:
Venue, Date, LIneage if possible, video details, like  Bitrate, PAL/NTSC, audio details like LPCM, AC3,  etc.,
Tracklist.
Any comments are welcome but no MUST

A kind of Lossy section, can´t find a fitting name.
Here every MP3 fan can upload his stuff. MP3 only allowed, if there is no lossless copy upped yet.
Here you should also be able to find (obviously) lossy videos in MPG, MOV. or Ipod files etc.

These restrictions work very well on other trackers, but as long as the site owner seems to ignore these reduntant discussions like in this thread, it will be like Zappa said.

Have you ever counted the years, how long this stupid discussion goes? It must be 6/7 years.

And last not least, can somebody answer me a few questions:

Did the famous Queenarchivist ever give answers to following questions.
(I don´t read the discussion forum very often for obvious reasons) :
In 2002 we expected a Box containing 4 single Boxsets. Is the latest Box release the poor result after 6 years?
Will there ever be a chance to BUY Hammersmith 75/79, Earls Court, Houston?
And:
There MUST be excellent copies from at least 3 shows, not completely circulated yet:
(maybe hoarded by some I-know-it-all)

Rainbow 31.3.1974 is also a proshot. All the preparations to do a proshot, were surely not done to take just 2 tracks.
I just bought a copy of Rio complete from Trancer, either it was a 20 gen copy from the master or the guy who stole the tape didn´t know how to copy correctly. In the last case there will be no chance for a good copy, in the first case: C´mon people: Get your asses going...like Freddie used to say, and give it to the Queen world.

Anyway, lets stop it. I´d be much more interested in the answers to my questions.
If you know anything more about these three shows (all proshots), I´d be happy if you send me an email.

And last not least,
I can only advise everybody here on QZ, to have a look at the U2, Zappa,  etc. fanpages.
And have a look at other torrent trackers. In none of the popular trackers would it be possible to do such an upload like in this thread: as requested by someone of you. Queen Paris 1986. !!!!

You seem o have a good contact to the QZ site owner, please ask him about this point.

Compared with Zappateers and others, this upload forum has become a kind of Kindergarden meanwhile. ( right translation: Kindergaten>Kindergarden ??) Everybody can upload anything he wants. No infos. no tracklist, no lineage, no Bitrates, no audiocodecs, nothing.
I wonder how long this will go on.

And there should be nothing wrong with being openly knowledgeable on a subject.  Let's suppose this was a topic about cooking.  A chef posts his informed opinion on which spices should be used to perfect a certain dish, is refuted by someone with no expertise time and time again, and finally he resorts to some (admittedly fun) sarcasm.  Instead of calling him a know-it-all at some point down the line, one should be wise enough to realize who's opinion is more credible from day one of the discussion.  Myself, I'd be listening to the chef, not the person who gets his recipes from the boxes of microwavable dinners.
