Wow, are these really flac ? I mean, really lossless or converted from mp3 or some web stream ? Can I know where do you have them from ?

Thanks a lot

Wow!
Thanks VERY much!

Well, I made a promise in the previous "Reaction" thread, but as you've uploaded "I Feel Good" in full here, I only have the following snippets left: "Demo" & "I Go Crazy". I'm not even sure that "Demo" is a Reaction track - I think it's just Roger on his own, pre-Reaction...

I'm sorry folks, but i'd already uploaded everything I had, and I'm not about to do it again to remove 2 tracks, so you'll just have to download stuff you already have.
NOTE: These are all I have and they are not complete tracks.

Just checked both with Audiochecker. They appear kosher.

I think so. Roger's voice does sound a bit deeper.

@ Brians Wig

Thanks for sharing your recordings too. The "Demo" you shared is Roger playing acoustic guitar with "The Three Jays". I believe the recording you have is of the 2007 Official Fan Club Convention in Prestatyn, where these tracks were played.

Before you ask, I have no idea who "The Three Jays" are/were, this is just information I've discovered.

Thanks a lot for this share. I think that "demo" is an early demo for the song Deep Minor Threat. This song appeared on the 1970 album Chameleon by The Famous Jug Band. One of the members of the Famous Jug Band was Jill Johnson. In the 60s she was a member of The Three Jays (later Jayfolk) and she was Roger's girlfriend. Roger collaborates uncredited on the Chameleon album. Deep Minor Threat is credited to Lang/Johnson

Are you sure that this is Roger? Roger played guitars only in his early bands The Bubblingover Boys and The Falcons.

Defo Roger.
As someone said earlier, 'my' demos are from convention in 2007 and they were played by Jim Jenkins. He definately said that the one called "demo" was labelled just that on his acetate and is Roger.

I sped up the I Got You (I Feel Good) recording so the pitch was raised 1 semitone. The feel of the song is much better now, and the vocals sound right now. And it also matches In the Midnight Hour. So I think this is the correct speed.

Hi everyone

I'm writing a book aboutThe Reaction and The Jayfolk...and have different versions of these recordings on the blog
www.queenincornwall.blogspot.com

There's also quite a lot of other information on there including pictures of the Jayfolk. Did you know that Sue Johnstone who started the Queen fan club was one of the main members of the Jayfolk?

The 'demo' recording is Pete Berriman who was the guitarist in The Famous Jug Band  - the band that Roger Taylor's Cornish girlfriend Jill Johnson sang with.

The others recordings are The Reaction. In the Midnight Hour was recorded during a live concert, the other two songs were demos...

Hi, thanks for the info - can I ask in what ways the tracks on the blog are different to the ones shared here?  To me, it sounds like the same recording, so any further info would be great.  Thanks!

They are the same tracks but recorded (ie transferred from the original source) differently...
