For the same reason people like to have lyrics with the albums?
Also, people (especially non-native English speakers) often find it hard to understand what is said between songs, so then it's nice to have subtitles.

*that's right, Frank. and not only  the dialogue between songs, but for me it's really cool to watch a great show, having some idea of the meaning of the Lyrics (even though I don't know the english language sufficiently)...

and here's a request:
would be great if someone translated the subtitles to portuguese and share here. Someone offers to this ???  :)
