Comments:
I'm sharing this one as many people seem to be searching for a clean copy of this recording. I downloaded it a long time ago from the hub but it came with a lot of annoying clicks and pops. I removed them with ClickRepair and I'm happy with the result.

This is the first ever concert of Queen in France. They seem really happy to get over this country that have ignored them during such a long time. There is no much to say as in my mind, this is perhaps the best tour Queen have ever made. Just listen and enjoy this great show... ;)
I rated the recording as vg+. It is very clear but there is some tape hiss which is a little bit annoying during the quiet moments or if you listen to it with headphones. It is still one of the best recordings of this tour so everyone should enjoy it.
The recording is complete. I've remarked some minor sound problems during Keep Yourself Alive. If you find other problems on this recording, just tell me...

By the way, there is still no recording of the second night so if you have it, attended it or know someone who might have recorded it, please tell...

I won't be home this afternoon. I let the window open but my computer could crash. I hope it won't but don't worry if there is no more seed this afternoon. Anyway, I will be there tonight.

Thank you so much! I get this recording couple of years ago from a well known "collector" in the U.S.,but the CD's are unlistenable now due to the stickers he used for his Cdr's. A clean copy is a major upgrade for me!

Thank you very much everybody - download completed at share rate 1.1, leaving in minutes as I have to shutdown the PC for the week end.

My apologies to those who were downloading from me, but there are still a lot of seeders in sight so it shouldn't be much harm.

Question for little foetus:

Did your program adjust the volume of some of the tracks? I'm asking this because the volume is overblown on a few tracks, especially LOML and My Melancholy Blues, to the point that it has distortion. Please check your original cds to see if they have the distortion or not. Also, have a look at the wave file of My Melancholy Blues for example, and let me know if it looks something like the attached picture, or if it's smaller.

Here's the speech before My Melancholy Blues on the one you shared. Look at how overblown it is:

The original has also some distorsion. I did not modify the volume of the recording, i just removed the clicks and pops. I don't know if there are other recordings without the distorsion or if it is possible to erase it.

You definitely can't erase distortion... that's for sure.

I have a copy of the show on CDR with the clicks, and it doesn't have the volume problems. Can you send me an email? I definitely would like to have this show cleaned up once and for all!

It's indeed a great show, but this still isn't the best version. The volume maxes out in a few places, so you get some distortion. I don't know who "normalized" this version...

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but if a few people mention it, then I'll share my copy. I tried out that ClickRepair software, and it really is fantastic!

Sir GH - if you want to post/send me the better version of this then I'm happy to fix the pops etc (maybe even tidy the sound up a little). I don't know ClickRepair, but be aware that most of that kind of software uses compression to remove the clicks - redrawing the wave by hand is more time-consuming but much less damaging to the audio..

I thought about that too, but honestly, this software really is incredible. I already cleaned it up, and it's the exact same sound, minus the clicks. But thanks for the offer to help! I don't know what my next share will be or when it will be, since I'm so busy with WWRY rehearsals now.

But why go for the better version, especially if it requires effort to locate? Daffy, are you being intolerant of other people's laziness? ;)

Well I also don't quite understand why some people prefer a worse version when a better is available, but that's just one of the mysteries of the universe :)
