As promised, here is a torrent of Sir GH's Part One of the 20/9/84 show and Nordico's Part II of same concert. Thank you both for sharing this! To keep things simple I have called them Disc 1 and Disc II. Notes are included in .txt files in each disc, but I have included them here for your convenience :

Disc 1 - Sir GH

This is one of the best shows of the Works tour. As usual in Holland, the audience are a very enthusiastic bunch. Freddie's voice is in pretty good shape, although he's at the point in the tour where he can't nail the beginning of It's A Hard Life anymore.

A new better-sounding source (cutting in at Is This The World We Created) was recently shared at Queenzone, so what I have uploaded here is only the first 43 minutes of the show. I was sure to fade it out at the exact point that the second source begins, so nothing is missing.

Lineage: AUD > Master > 2nd Generation Tape > WAV > CDR (x) > WAV > FLAC frontend (level 8)

Machines (tape)
Tear It Up
Tie Your Mother Down
Under Pressure
Somebody To Love
Killer Queen
Seven Seas Of Rhye
Keep Yourself Alive
Liar
Vocal improv
It's A Hard Life
Mustapha (intro)
Dragon Attack
Now I'm Here

Disc 2 - from Nordico :
This is a 1st generation copy of the master cassette and I dont think it has been shared here before. The good news is that the sound is very good+. The Bad news is that the concert is incomplete. For some obvious reasons the bootleger only taped the second part of the show...what a shame!!

I have also the first part, but in a bad quality, so hopefully someone can provide the first part of the show in good quality to complete the concert???

The rarity of this concert is that Queen played an impromptu of '39... and as you can hear the dutch crowd went crazy!!

Enjoy The Show!!

Tracklist:

Is This The World We Created?
'39
Love Of My Life
Stone Cold Crazy
Great King Rat
Keyboard Solo
Brighton Rock
Another On Bites The Dust
Hammer To Fall
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Bohemian Rhapsody
Radio Ga Ga
I Want To Break Free
Jailhouse Rock
We Will Rock You
We Are The Champions
God Save The Queen

Good download and enjoy!

As far as i know, disc 2 is from the master. If not, then wouldnt it be better to share the master which is available?

The one shared by Nordico was indeed a copy of the master, but no exact lineage was provided.

In short, yes. But be sure to include the full lineage of anything where possible (i.e. the one I uploaded). We need to get out of this "first gen" and "second gen" mentality and start writing out full lineage when it is possible. Every little bit of information helps distinguish one version from another.

some artwork for this great show:

http://queenhouse.de/audiodl/leiden20984.zip

Front scan is the best possible in B/W from the ticket stub.
If printed on glossy paper(!!), it looks really great.

Hope you like it

Nice art Frank, but you've got the lineage of source 2 wrong. It's not first gen from the master... it's a copy of the master. That is a huge difference! Tape generation is when you copy from one tape to another, whereas master to computer is not a generation of tape.

Did you get my email about the Earls Court audio?

hi there,

thanks for making it possible to purchase queen concerts.

I leave my torrent open, so others can download too.

But how can I watch or hear the concerts. what do I have to do with these "flac" files?

thanks

You can convert FLAC into .wav with the programme
http://flac.sourceforge.net
/

You can burn this onto a CD which will play in most CD players.

You can also get a codec from www.winamp.com so you can play this on winamp on your computer.

PS FLAC is only for audio. And this site is for sharing music, not purchasing it! I'm sure you meant downloading music :)

hi,

I understand that this is about sharing, not buying. With "purchasing", I meant "looking for". You understand that Englisg is not my first language

After downloading, I leave my pc on. Is that enough to help others?

There I've been downloading, I want to share something too.. How do I do that...

thanks and greets!

Hi Dirkdehertog,
First, my apologies if my remark about purchasing offended you - I fully realise you are not a native English speaker and it is so easy to pick the wrong word (I do it myself quite often!). But there are occasionally people who try to sell stuff that can be downloaded for free - you have been warned!

Second - so glad to hear that you want to help seed! As you guessed, it's really easy - just leave the torrent open after you complete (you will still see others downloading off you.

Good luck with all your (hopefully numerous) downloads!

The story and linage of part II

After leaving home and picking up a friend we went to Leiden to see the Queen show (for the second time) at the Groenoordhal. When we did pass Schiphol (airport of Amsterdam) we suddenly saw 2 big black limousines and of course what you guess is right the Queen Boys where in there...so we did follow them till Leiden. Maybe that´s the reason why my friend was so confused that he did forgot to start his Sony Walkman with build in Stereo Mic. So halfway the concert he noticed his mistake...
I am not sure anymore if it´s on this shared source, but in the beginning of the orginal source you can hear me say "Ja wel" which is Dutch for "but yes" because we did have a little discussion about the fact that he was quilty of not starting the recording. By the way we were on the right side from the stage (about 100m).

Anyway afterwards I did made a copy of the orginal Cassette (TDK SA or Maxell XL II) to a Reel To Reel Tape Deck (on Maxell tapes). In 2000 I did transfer this recording to a Sony Minidisc with some equalisation, and then into .wav files on PC (used Nero wave editor, probably again with some equalisation, but I am not sure anymore) and with Nero Burn finally to CD-R. Of course for sharing ripped the CD-r back to .wav files with audio grabber and transfered them into FLAC 8.0 files.
Master Cassette > Reel To Reel Tape > Mini Disc > Wav File > CD-R > Wav File > Flac 8.0

Indeed after all this year the sound is still great and brings back a lot of memory´s and probably it was one of the best concert of The Works Tour.

In 1986 the same taper with the same equipment did record the show of the 11th of June (this time the complete concert). I have this source on CD-r, but the sound isn´t as clear as the 1984 concert, and there are much better versions around here on Queenzone.

Hopefully this gives more clarity to everbody about the source and story behind this recording...

P.S.
Many thanks to Sir GH to complete the show with his source...
