Oh my...
The most interesting thing is that the guy goes, "Do you know what month/day 9/11 was?" I mean, he gives them the date and they still get it wrong. xDD

I'm glad I'm german.

Damn! I can't believe I live in a country full of idiots. How can you be so stupid about something that happened in your own city? Thanks for sharing this...wow.

Just like Bu says, not all American's are stupid. Some just aren't right in the head, or nervous when asked a question, or stupid. ;)

Nonetheless, these sort of people exist in every country....I hope! LOL

I wonder why the stupidity of the common person is so surprising to people...

If you ask 100 people a simple question, no matter where you go (even an Ivy League campus, I surmise), you'll be able to make a video like this. But seriously, if it was on such a campus, I'd understand surprise. But how high are your expectations for New York City? Seriously.

the only way i can think someone gets that wrong is since it was a british guy, maybe they thought he was asking about how to convert it in the british way?

like 25/4=april 25.....correct me if im wrong here? i dont remember which countries use that way.

some people can be psyched out by an easy question too....thinking there must be some other part of it missing or something. i dunno. either that or they really are stupid.

It's pretty easy to confuse people when you put a microphone in front of their faces, it has nothing to do with the country they live in. You only see edited material but if you know how such "interviews" are done, you know that you could be one of them. It was probably the 10th question and the previous nine questions were only meant to confuse the interviewed person. It's a very common and popular feature in comedy shows.

Are you calling Charles Firth a liar!?! ARE YOU!? 'cause I will if you won't.

I rather the 'getting someone to say 'freedom' more than 10 times in a rant on what makes America dandy' segment.

Or the 'world famous' test. lolololololol.

Good point. It's easy to laugh at people on gameshows that get simple questions wrong, too. If I had the stress of being filmed, a studio audience, and having my answer timed, I would probably act like a complete moron. ;-)

It's probably also the case that with Jaywalking for example they film all day and end up getting 10 or so people that give a dumb answer.

Oh yeah, definitely. I wonder if some of the ones on Jaywalking answer questions wrong on purpose to get on t.v.
