I find the comments all most like some here, I do think it is funny when that camera guy spins around and shows people not doing the day-o stuff, and even tho I'm not gay, I find a lot of those Irish blokes to be pretty ugly.

Isn't that the show where Brian had a bottle chucked at him and had to be talked into playing the encores by the rest of the band?

A few more remarks like that, and the IRA will re-establish itself, and move on from domestic terrorism to bigger and better things...

Meath not Dublin u bunch of geograpicly challenged..... Anyway. I have a few newspaper cuttings from a local newspaper in County Meath, The Meath Chronicle. Well worth a read for more factual info on what went on that day, never knew there was a backstage riot.

MARKNOW. I have been looking for you for a while and was wondering if you could please, please, please share your recordings from QPPR at the point in Dublin. I was at the show and I really, really would like your video recordings. Please If possible post them in some other form than torrent but if you can't I am sure we can figure out a way. Please, I would be very happy and thankful.

Thanks for your time and sharing at Queenzone.

http://rapidshare.com/files/45197270/337744.pdf at the end of the article its says...
"a day to remember for all the wrong reasons.... give me simple minds any day!"
Oh dear! it seems she forgot how much of an anticlimax simple minds were when when they came on after Queen at live aid (albeit in philli)?! it seems the press only like reviews written by people who are NOT fans of the band in question!
I mean was it really necessary for the journo to say freddie had them eating out of his RICH hands? just sounds like jealousy to me. *sings* JEALOUSY!!!

And he did! Thank you Mark, and thanks to YV for the suggestion :)

I'm working on a NEW version of my QueenCuttings site, that's why there isn't new updates weekly as in the past. (but there are updates, sometimes, anyway :) )

There will be a new QueenCuttings site soon, I hope within mid september.

Cheers to all,
thank you this Slane's cuttings, send more if you have :)

Pretty much the same reviews everywhere! People in those days still took Queen for granted.
Now that they´re gonne, their gigs are legend! Critic reviewers = Hypocrits!

Thanks for posting this.

Take care

And rightly so. Fans are far less able to provide an objective review: they will automatically try to find excuses for faults, and will focus on the highlights. Nor is a review meant for fans: they are not the ones who need the information a journalist can provide about a band.
