I went there a couple of days ago. I thought each artist would have amazing sections dedicated to them... instead the museum wastes space with dumb and/or stupid "special exebitions" or dumb artists like Madona and Michael Jackson. I asked the lady where they had the section for Elton John and she said, "there isn't one... I mean, we have things of his but we don't have them out". Incredible. None the less, they did have some things of Queen's. They had one of John Deacon's bass' from the late 70's, a copy (one of the good ones) of the Red Special, a piece of Roger's drum set from the News Of The World Tour, the rarely used Empire State Building and American flag hologram vests Freddie used at MSG, and the lighting bolt tights and leather jacket Freddie wore at Rock in Rio in Brazil... I'm sure they had more things but these are the only ones they had out.

???

Museums usually have rotating special exhibitions... it's not like it's a Queen museum here or anything... can you imagine how big the museum would have to be in order to have sections devoted to each artist inducted in the past twenty some years? It'd need its own zip code.

special exebitions or dumb.....

well, the exhibition we saw in 2001 and 2002 had the green and orange Freddie leotards, Brian's cape by Zandra Rhodes, replicas of the Red Special and John's bass....

and a horribly bent 45 sleeve of 'Radio GaGa'. Oy. Talk about going all out....

We went there last year when we were in Cleveland for the QPR show. The lack of Queen stuff was really disappointing, but there were some really interesting things. In particular, there was a great Jimi Hendrix section with drawings he did as a kid and such.

True... but this place is HUGE already and they just waste space with crap. Like "The history of the Warped Tour"... the warped tour sucks BALLS, so why devote AND ENTIRE WING to its crappytude? Now that's a waste of space. Plus when I say that Queen's area was small I also mean that every other artist's area was small... diminutive... EVEN THE BEATLES... it's like a little office cubicle. If you have more things from an artist you put it all out there ESPECIALLY stuff from the inductees.
