I've been buing guitar stuff for queen for ages. Then i got Lick Library: Learn To Play Queen.

Just to start this is for guitarists who like me play purely for fun and not for performing.

since i got it i've really improved. it goes through my favourite guitar riff Tie Your Mother Down and actually tells you how to play it. Now before i got it i was half playing the riff but never got it quite right - i can even play it on accoustic now and it sounds great on that.

Also i thought i knew how to play Crazy Little Thing Called Love. In the DVD he goes though the song and thought me things about it that are simple looking back on it but make such a difference. It's now such a pleasure to play cos i can do it right (i also took at bit of the edgar cruz bit for that and put the 2 together to give a real good performaing song)

Then goes through Hammer To Fall. Makes it simple the transition bit by playing the chords in a good way.

And also Now I'm Here. Really helps you play that intor correctly. The intro is simple but you see how he does it and he puts a lick in the intro too for effects.

There are no tabs with it but his instructions tell you. All it's for is the riffs - technique.

I 100% recommend this.

If this is the dvd I'm thinking of, then yes, it's a great 2 disc set. I have a copy but I haven't had the time to look through it. Shame. But from what I've seen and heard, it's very good.

The guy involved with those tracks is making a second one soon. Should be interesting!

Adam.

That sounds pretty damned cool! I had something like that a while ago, which was just a book with tabs and stuff talking about the songs.....and a cd..........odd thing was, tho, that the book had a few inaccuracies in the chapter about the history of Queen....

I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

Wow - gotta get that!

Btw, I just bought 6 queen music books at the library, because they're selling out all their old stuff that's never borrowed - about 10 USD! (60 Dansish crowns, but I guess that doesn't tell you all that much xD)

I'm going slightly mad
