I am sure it is now "Property of Queen Productions." If you still have questions, please say that phrase over and over every 20 seconds.

Jim Beach currently uses it to pick up chicks at bars, but once the box set comes out, it will be cut up and a piece will be placed in each set.

Seriously though, it was probably just repainted and used again as a regular locomotive for some company.

It is in the Queen Productions' vault...
Hoping our beloved archivist will find his way to it

If you mean the train, it was only a temporary paint job, it has been continuing to run up and down Nene Valley for the last 18 years.

You may well be correct - but am I wrong, or did I read some place, some where, it was later reincarnated as the 'Hogwarts Express'?

I was about to say that...only, John, I was under the impression that I would have been *joking*. Please...tell me you just beat me to it.

I did read it - but I have no idea if it is true!
That's why I asked!

I always liked to think they used it for transient Queen fans...

The locomotive engine that features in the Breakthru video (The Miracle Express) was purchased by Pete Malandrone (Brian's guitar tech and general all-round guy) and three friends of his (steam train enthusiasts) in Feb 1990. It currently resides, in numerous parts, in an industrial unit in Reading, Berks. Secret location.

The paint-work is a bit scratched but still reasonable and the train does still run, though not for the last 8 years. There are plans to feature it in a Cambridge based train exhibition/museum in 2008. Watch this space.

Pete is interested in selling his share of the train, if anyone is interested. In the region of £4,600 I think I'm right in thinking.

Write to my email and I'll pass it on - plus anything else you'd like to say about Pete's hair or dress sense.
