I'm probably reaching a bit here, but I bought the Flash Gordon DVD this weekend and I noticed something; in the scene where Flash is to be executed, there are all sorts of alien races in the room. To the right side of the gas chamber, just before Flash enters the chamber, there is a race of humaniod aliens that have their clothing black on one side and white on the other-all I could think of are those early pictures of Freddie with those black/white trousers. I wonder if that was done as some kind of inside joke for Queen fans? Hardly an important question to ponder, but what the hell...

Yep you're right!

In fact all those black and white movies of the early 20th century were an hommage to Freddie and Queen II

Yeah the import Silver Anniversary edition is better because it has more commentaries (Brian Blessed, etc). They didn't bother paying to use the commentaries for the US edition...I think it was more a cash-in for the TV series. I think the print on the import is better too...it looks like it was shot yesterday.
