Every time i post a topic ppl come along and say - please post in correct forum etc.

1) How about someone advertise that there is a 'correct forum'

Good stuff. So i guess by posting in the wrong section i annoy ppl. Well if that's the case, i'll certainly keep it up - i'd love to know what sort of jobs ppl who take this site seriously have - either unemployed, or lousy jobs, or else extremely unpopular people with no boy/girl friends. Just love pointing out truths...bring it on babies...

You seem to bring up boy/girlfriends a lot. Are you sexually frustrated? You also point out a lot of the so-called moaners here who only ask that you follow the guidelines that Richard, the site's owner, has laid down. It's like coming into someone's house and taking a shit in the kitchen, when you should really be shitting in the toilet.

For the record, that took me 1 minute 53 seconds to write. I'll now go back to my high-paying job and my lovely girlfriend with whom I will have intercourse now.

Lester, I respect you a lot, but...that was just too much detail.

Got any pictures...?

No, I highly doubt you annoy any of us. We're simply trying to help guide you in the right direction when it comes to posting in the correct forum.

If you really must know I'm a full time college student. I study philosophy quite frequently, write several research papers within only a week's time (sometimes), present speeches when requested to by my Speech Communication professor, and I take evening classes. I also have an adorable girlfriend with whom I hope to spend the rest of my life with. Oh, and for the record I'm not 'popular' either. I consider myself to be an existentialist. I'm an authentic individual who doesn't wish to follow popular culture, and by that I mean the 'latest fashion'. Being cool is the road towards inauthenticity.

But of course, they'll be in my next book. Or whenever they are "accidentally" leaked onto the Internet, whichever comes first.

So i take it your studies are qualitative in nature and that your research design is varied amongst fly on the wall, surveys, observations or do you use triangulation to have a more rounded paper? Don't speaches just freak you out - you've rehearsed your point privately, then comes the big day and you feel that the point is dated that you mess it up or feel self conscious that 'god, this is old to me'...some people think like that, but to the audience it's their first time hearing it.

Interesting that that was the only thing you replied with, as opposed to addressing all the valid reasons I gave.

As for the papers I write, they're usually explanatory essays, argument-based essays, philosophical essays (existentialism was one of them, another one I did was on Plato's metaphysics), and also psychological essays as well. Right now I'm researching sleep disorders, the possible war with Iran, and the comcept of 'obediance to authority' (which I suppose Treasure Moment would find fascinating). The common approach I take when constructing a paper is quite simple. Read a lot of sources, create an outline, write a rough draft, nit pick all the little stuff, change stuff around, finalize it, and submit it. As for speeches, they do make me nervous. However, the more I do them the less nervous I shall be. Practice makes perfect. My topics never get old to me actually. I enjoy sharing knowledge with the world.

Out of curiosity, what do you do?

Fair enough - interesting. I'm just a journalist on assignment from the UK, however it does incorporte research - quantitative and qualitative studies, but i've kind of given up. I reckon that research should be really in medicine or science because what's the point giving money to arts - but then again i have an interest in history and arty things so i'm in favour.

I gave up on philosophical readings long ago. I was reading ' is there a god ' then the book said, well if you think in your head that there is a god, then there is a god - therefore i was really annoyed and said that's just arguing with english and word play. It was at that point that i realised to study philosophy you have to be really interested in it and for those that are well done.
