Hi Guys,
It is time to review the latest evidence of Brian May's out-of-control ego. Let me explain, OK? So a couple of days ago, Freddie was voted as the Greatest Rock Legend ever. You know about how he likes to flaunt certain poll-related things on his web site. Whenever he is voted #39 or whatever there is always some lavish display of it on his site. For instance, there are all kinds of pictures showing him as a chancellor for some school over in England. There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales.

Is there anything there to congratulate Freddie though? Of course not. He is obviously pissed that HE did not make it on the list as well and so he does not want to mention it along with all of the really trivial things he posts up there all of the time.

By the way, all of this chancellor stuff does not help him in any way. It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years.

"There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales."

This is far, FAR more important than a dead guy. Who's been dead since 1991.
We have plenty of rock stars, they're in no danger of dying out. Whales are a different story, cocksucker.

"By the way, all of this chancellor stuff does not help him in any way. It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years."

Done a shitload more than you have.....
This could be what, the fiftieth stupid fucking thread you've started in your life? Have you ever said anything that wasn't total pants??

Could you please fucking choke!!?
Either that, or stay in your bedroom doing hideous things in front of your Freddie shrine. If nothing else, you will preserve (or perhaps get some) dignity.

1) I dont think that a stupid poll (there are hundreds of them each year...) is more important than thousands of whales killed... and such a great honor of being chancellor of a UNIVERSITY... not a school moron... and he knows that Freddie was one of the bests... without a poll...

2) Check what he post yesterday... about Freddie... are you happy with that?

Moviing..moving..

It's just another poll, among many. No big deal. He acknowledged Freddie's passing on the 24th. What more do you want? A letter from Brian, wishing Freddie would come back from the dead?

There is also a long discussion about how we need to save whales.

It's not Brian's fault that you don't care about this very worthy cause.

It only serves to elucidate the fact that he has accomplished nothing over the past 16 years.

Right... getting a PhD is "nothing". How ironic, since the title of this topic is misspelled "Brain".

What are you trying to accomplish here, really? Are you trying to make friends? Are you trying to create hostility and force people to believe what you believe, regardless of how irrational and hate-filled it is? Have you nothing better to do, aside from spending hours editing Wikipedia entries to echo your twisted views?

Fact: Brian is arguably the most respected rock guitarist in the world at the moment. Best of luck on your journey to change that.

Even though Brian is not my favorite band member and even though I'm Freddie's freak, I would refrain from comments such as this. Brian has achieved ALOT within the past 16 years and not only then. He is a hero in his own unique way and although I have my own concerns about the content of his web-site, for Christ sake, he is BRIAN MAY!

Just out of curiosity:
have you ever met Brian May in person?
Have you ever talked to him,
or watched him talk with someone else from a close distance?

Rhetorical questions, of course:
if you had, you would never think of him as an egocentric.

On the other hand, the fact that you keep seeking the slightest excuse
to publicly bash someone you do not know at all
is a definite sign of YOUR OWN EGO getting out of control.

IMVHO, you'd better find medical help before it gets beyond recovery.

Part 7 already? see, this why Queen fans are perceived as such 'darlings', not to mention the other perception: Queen = Freddie (sometimes Freddie, but not that often).

Nothing?!?!

what about some top ten hits from his first fairly successful solo album, a successful solo tour, another album(which wasn't successful but was damn good) no one but you, his bone marrow charity, Starting his range of guitars, being inducted into R&R hall of fame, We Will Rock you (whether you like the show or not, it is extremely successful), God save the Queen on the palace, selling out a tour with Paul Rodgers(again, might not like it, but it was successful), playing to 65 thousand people at hyde park, being awarded a CBE, starting work on a new Queen album, Recieving a PHD and now being allocated chancellor of the liverpool university.

I do believe you were just shown what for!!

If anyone wants to add anything to this list, be my guest, unless i hit it all which i doubt.

Brian HAS accomplished alot in the past and yes, he may be the nicest guy in rock but, he does NOT like people to disagree with him; having personal experence of correspondance with the man, I will say that he is principled but, certainly in the case we corresponded over, his principles, I believe, can be misplaced. He does seem to get over sensitive when people criticise him or disagree.
I'll actually be more specific - My son is a diabetic, Brian had a particular issue over animal experimentation with which I strongly disagreed. My son's health is dependant on emerging therapies. Needless to say an exchange of emails followed where we agreed to disagree. Throughout the correspondence, I can honestly say that Brian made no attempt whatsoever to see my point of view.
So, yes, he does deserve a degree of criticism over the causes he deems important because we are not all in the position to promulgate our points of view in such a forum and if he fails to balance the arguement, he only weakens his position over each issue
(sorry to go on a bit, but hope I shed some light on the discussion)
