Has anyone tried to find this out before?
Well I did last night, unfortunatly i seem to have lost the audio bootleg of the first night so had to do it from the visuals on the DVD.
I watched this 3 times last night trying to notice any changes in clothing, members of the audience, cups on the piano etc. I noticed that the one thing which stood out was the digital clock for the camera sync. The clock and the time can be seen in the following,

PLG, 9 hours 00 mins
STL, 9 hours 06 mins
Guitar solo, 9 hours 57 mins
CLTCL, 10 hours ?? mins
TYMD, 10 hours 17 mins
AOBTD, 10 hours 23 mins
WWRY, 10 hours 35 mins
WATC, 10 hours 38 mins

Now we know the encore came from the second night so I would guess that everything on the above list comes from the second night as the clock times match up as you would expect.

I also believe that the clock was only in that position (next to Brian) on the second night, alot of the songs not on the list have a shot from the same camera angle but the clock is not visible, this makes me think that these songs were from the first night.

Obviously some songs maybe a combination of both, the guitar solo is an example and also STL. In STL the clock is nowhere to be seen, then when Freddie gets up from the piano to sing 'he works hard...' it appears again.

I may be talking crap here so would love to know opinions from others.

I'm not sure here, but wouldn't it make sense to have 2 clocks? Because, if you're on the right-hand side of the stage, how are you going to see the clock in the wings on the right-hand side? It's far easier for a cameraman on the left-hand side to simply point towards the right-hand side and see it clearly. A cameraman on the other side? Not so much, I would think. Not impossible, I suppose.

Adam.

I would imagine tho that there were other pauses and moments that were cut out from the night and may cause the clocks to not nessesarly run troughout the program as real time. Two songs are missing from the final film in fact. I belive the clocks were only intended for editing. Since they used film and it can only run a few mins before you have to reload the camera, each time one was restarted it was requiered to pan this clock at least once just for sinc in edits.
And I remember seeing a live show (from a different band)that was recorded for a live album and that replayed a couple of songs that just didn't go right. However I would not exspect Queen to mess up a song but at the end of Killer Queen on the Caracas DVD it looks like Brian's string breaks-so maybe they too could of redone some-but i doubt it.
Just a thought. Anyway you got you me curious to pay closer attention now and check this out.

Exactly! if you watch carefully you see these clocks in various places like the advertising boards in the crowd. The one next to Brian only seems to appear on the second night, as if camera men have requested it.

Are you referring to audio or video? I heard Freddie kept doing costume changes throughout the second night (maybe to cause problems, because they were so pissed at the orgnisers) so I always assumed all the visuals were from the first night.
