Cool!

I imagine that Otis Redding is one of the 65.

Freddie stopped going out a lot around '87 or so. He became a big recluse around '90. Rumors of him having the disease started as early as around '85.

Robert? WTF?

Yeah, they rang up John Deacon in '85 and asked if Freddie had AIDS.

I arrived at the office one day, and, this issue was on my chair, with a bow.
I'd no idea Freddie was in it, and, just opened it up, right to Freddie's write up. I was pleased to see he got almost as many pages as Elvis. Most musicians got only a page.

Of course, there were many other folks in the issue, that were of interest to me, but, the Freddie bit was the best. I also enjoyed the giant photo of him in the cheezy red outfit that they chose to use.

I saw that when I went shopping just last night. I thought it was a little too morbid to bother looking at, so I just picked up Guitar Player with Brian on the cover. It has a great interview!

As a side note, Robert Taylor is the best triangle player EVER.

On the second page, the magazine states that 'in 1989 Freddie Mercury dropped from sight' But if I remember correctly from many other articles and Jim Hutton's 'Mercury and Me' He was still out and about but only of the sight of the press.

I can't provide anything more correct, but I can categorically state that you should at least read Hutton's book with caution. At many points he's clearly rewriting history as he would have liked to have seen it, mostly out of bitterness towards Mary because she got the house and he got next to nothing from the will. Therefore, since there was a personal agenda in mind, I don't know if anything in that book can be taken as fact.

Well, I've read the book more than once, and also many interviews with Mary and all her answers are so dramatic when it comes to his death that its all hard to believe.

Do you mean you feel Jim's portrayal of life with Freddie was accurate but Mary overplays his death?
