I know it's not really an argument of actuality but.. I remember that - in the '94 or somes issues of the QueenFC magazine - Roger was telling about an 'album' with Yoshiki.
The cooperation ended with a single, the gorgeous Foreign Sand, and the remake of Final Destination.

Are there any clearer news of this cooperation? Was it inicially meant to work for an album, instead of a single?

that's typical Roger.

according to his own words, John, Brian, and he were bound to record a new "Queen" album back in 1998, QPR were going to use a "rolling setlist" for the 2006 tour, and the QPR album will be a three disk set ;)

Yes, I remember an interview where he said TWO disc set - which Brian hasn't confirmed, by the way.

Roger: "It's going so well, it could be a double album".
Three months later...
Brian: "We have seven songs"
Another three months later...
Paul: "We still have seven songs"

What this probably means is that Roger has written a couple of albums worth of material, presented it to Brian and his new best mate Paul, and they have said, "ooh no, we're not having that, let's stick with the 7 songs that we've written"!!!!!
