I think i remember reading somewhere it was about 16 million, which i know doesnt sound like a lot by todays standards when it comes to musicians, but remember it was 1991, and he was very extravagant with his spending, on himself and others.

this is all on my memory which isn't that great anyway to be honest ha ha, so if anybody knows different, please say so.

I thought around 8 million was declared but like a lot of very wealthy people a lot of his money was earned tax free and kept in overseas accounts which doesn't need to be 'declared' as such. Whatever the figure, he was worth a lot more!

The truth is that the old bugger is still earning more per annum, than most of us will ever achieve in our lifetimes.

Nail, head, hit, right on the. The 8million figure was bandied about, and of course, he had gone on a major "buy my muckers houses" spree, but the real worth is now.

Also, I think the overseas accounts assertions above would be quite correct.

I wouldn't give a single cent for a 45-year old who still wets his pants.

^ ^ this is why I have no time for Jim Hutton and his book. Some things are just better off left unsaid. Although as fans I'd like to think we could rise above these two poor attempts at 'humour'.

I'm sure by the word 'worth' in the question, we are talking only in financial terms, as his 'worth' in any areas of history, legacy, musical ability, influence etc... goes further than most.

Purely from memory, I remember reading in the UK press at the time of his death that his Estate was approx £12m. But, with the UK press and facts never usually being in the same vacinity as each other, I don't know that this is totally right! As other posters say, I'm sure his true financial worth would be alot greater - Queen were always one of the few acts that knew how to handle themselves financially from early on (after hooking up with John Reid), and especially as Freddie and Jim Beach, in the knowledge that he would die in the not too distnat future, had time to assess his money in preparation for the sad day.

Boo hoo.

You bleeding hearts out there seem to miss a vital piece of the puzzle... as far as Death goes, the joke is on us. We're all going to die. Every one of us. I can make fun of Death because I know I'll probably have a pretty undignified ending myself... The joke is on me.
Having said that ; Ha-ha, Freddie shouldn't have copped so much love-goo in his arse.

I didn't think they were too bad. Better than anything I can come up with. Besides, in the last couple years, he would be late for rehearsal or just leave after a couple of songs, forgot lyrics all the time, and really wasn't pulling his weight in the songwriting department. If he didn't die, Queen was going to have to make a decision real soon...

I bet they would've hired that Paul Rogers guy from Free. He always was a big inspiration to them, and when they didn't get him because Free took off they went with the Freddie Bulsara guy.

I wonder how much his art collection has grown in value? If it hasn't been sold.

I have a copy of his will somewhere and it's around £8 million.

The old faggott is now earning more now than when he was alive.
