I'm basically looking for decent quality audio and/or video of the following Freddie quotes. A few of them are fairly famous and I would love to include them in a radio documentary that I'm currently making.
"I write commercial love songs because basically what I feel very strongly about is love and emotion. I'm not a John Lennon who sleeps in bags for I don't know how long. You have to have a certain upbringing and go through a certain amount of history before people will believe what you're writing about."
"My songs are like Bic razors. For fun, for modern consumption. You listen to it, discard it, then on to the next..."
"It's about a high class call girl. I'm trying to say that classy people can be whores as well. I'd prefer people to put their own interpretation upon it - to read what they like into it."
"I wrote it in the bath. I actually dragged an upright piano to my bedside once. I've been known to scribble lyrics in the middle of the night without putting the light on."
"Love is a Russian roulette for me. No one loves the real me inside, they're all in love with my fame, my stardom?"
If anyone could point me to the source of these interviews or upload the audio of these interviews, that would be fantastic. Otherwise, if anyone has any material where Freddie is talking about the way he thinks about his songs - the way he would be obscure about the meaning and dismiss their lyrical meaning - I'd really appreciate it!
