so,what now for the third in line to the UK throne now our colonial cousins across the pond have blown his cover and told the world where he is?
personally i dont have any problem with him being there as he signed up on his own accord and wants to be on the frontline but what are the repercussions?

1] he now is the number one target in Afghanistan which will endanger his entire battalion
2] will they bring him out of the frontline to ensure his and more importantly his battalions safety?
and most importantly
3] why did the UK press agree to keep the whole thing quiet and form a collusion of silence with the UK military/government and royal family? this is the kind of thing you would associate with countries like North Korea which run the media propaganda, not a so-called democracy like the UK.they got the gagging order on Lord Lindley just before christmas too so what else are they hiding from us? treasure moments aliens?

Believe it or not, I am going to come to the defense of my country here. WE did not blow the story. According to reports, it was leaked to an Australian magazine and a German magazine, who were going to publish it. That is why the government came out and had to say that he was there, before the story got put to press.
We had nothing to do with it :-P

I'm sure they'll pull him out now...they've even said what province he is in. He's going to endanger his whole battalion. He's done there, and probably already on the next flight back to the UK

Well…. I’m sure Fatty with tell me I am contradicting my self here…… ehehe ?

But in this instance and to go on side with your argument, we can’t say for certain how things look from Harry’s point of view. Living his life the way he has, with constant protection that he and the rest of the royal family have had, they would have be advisers to guide Harry on choices. Perhaps, they knew something we didn’t or didn’t see it as such a threat in the way we do. Being that the media has made the situation appear worse than it really is. With the power and knowledge that the Royals can obtain, it could suggest some protection. I’m not suggestion that nothing could happen and I do see the danger and therefore appreciate you stance on this, but perhaps there is another side to this we don’t see.

Even if they didn't know who he was, the red hair would've given his position away for miles.

I can appreciate that his entire battalion might be at risk if Harry remains in Afghanistan but at the same time it's his duty as a soldier to stay and fight.

Here's what I suggest. After strapping a number of guns, knives and hand grenades to his body (just like Arnie did in Commando) he should leave his comrades behind and go off to wage a one man war against the taliban (just like Sly did in Rambo).
No doubt he'd kill a couple of hundred extremists before being captured and brought before Osama Bin Laden himself. After a brief torture scene (like the one in Lethal Weapon), we cut to a monastry somewhere in rural England where Major James Hewatt (played by Chuck Norris) works as a gardener. Upon learning that Prince Harry has been captured and that the goverment wont send in a rescue team (like in that film...I can't remember what it was called but I think Gene Hackman was in it...Or was it Willem Dafoe?) Major Hewatt decides to fly out to Afghanistan to rescue him.
Major Hewatt parachutes in and kills seven or eight baddies by sneaking up behind them and breaking their necks then arrives at the cell in which Prince Harry is being held but before he can break him out, Osama Bin Laden arrives and there is a massive sword fight (like the one between Conner MacLeod and the Kurgan in Highlander) and Chuck Norris is killed. Of course by now Prince Harry has managed to free himself. He picks up Chuck's sword and the battle continues until Bin Laden cuts off Harry's hand.
Harry screams in pain, falls to his knees and waits for the final deadly blow. But Bin Laden lowers his sword and says "The Queen never told you what happened to your mother, did she?"
"She told me that she was killed in a car crash in Paris" replies the young prince"
"No Harry. I am your mother."
Just then President George Bush appears from the cave and fires blue sparks at Prince Harry (just like in Return of the Jedi) but Bin Laden picks up the President and throws him over the cliff.

Bin Laden is now dying and asks Prince Harry to remove the turban and fake beard so she can look at Harry with her own eyes. Harry removes them and sees the smiling face of Princess Diana looking back at him.

Back at Buckingham Palace, Harry goes out on to the balcony and over by the trees he sees the glowing blue figures of Princess Diana, The Queen Mother and Chuck Norris smiling at him.

Then everything fades to black and we hear The Hero by Queen as the credits start to roll.

fatty.

Ah. The first stories I read of it yesterday said that Austrailian and German reporters had leaked it first. My bad.

Yes, now the Taliban might start realizing those troops are there to oppose THEM.

Are you kidding me?

Yes, let place the war on hold and put aside all our strategy so we can go shoot some redheaded spoiled brat. I'm sure that's what the Taliban are thinking.

The reason the UK is mad is now they can't put a nice little documentary together about the future king and his brilliant military career.

Maybe the camera crew was putting his company in more danger than he actually was!

And it was Gene Hackman, fatty. Uncommon Valor.

"Maybe the camera crew was putting his company in more danger than he actually was!"

Well, you are going to have cameras in any battle. Sounds like he was on the front lines and has been risking his life for a while now. Where did everyone THINK he was? Just missing? Off training somewhere? We don't get a lot of press here about Harry, by the way.

Of course there's the sticky little detail about Prince Harry's elder brother, Prince William, standing between Harry and the future throne.

I don't see the fuss. One less ranga wouldn't hurt anyone.

I heard that the Scientologists got their stinking claws onto Laura Prepon and I'm heartbroken. I can never knock one out over her again, knowing that those soulless bastards have converted her to Stupidology.
