Are there any photographs out there of the band playing ’39 with John on the double bass (upright bass, bass viol, what have you), rather than on the fretted or fretless bass guitar?

Just wondering whether they’d take that large bit of furniture along on the road, as some sources seem to imply.

Are there any other double bass moments in Queen history other than the recording of ’39 and the video shoot of WWTLF?

Any responses are very much appreciated!

Jan

I think the closest we'll see John with that upright bass is from the Who Wants To Live Forever video. Not sure if that's the same one used for '39 but it would be cool if it were.
