ITV1 will broadcast Nelson Mandela: Happy 90th Birthday and will give viewers the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the event and see performances from an extraordinary line-up up of musicians.

Those set to perform include Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox, Queen, Sugababes, Razorlight, Dame Shirley Bassey and Simple Minds, with further headlining acts being lined up as special, surprise guest appearances

I'm looking forward to Q+PR but the rest of the lineup minus Annie Lennox and maybe Leona Lewis (not sure about simple minds) looks pretty drab. Hopefully the 'surprises' will be good. Im betting Stevie Wonder.

You can guarantee that we'll not get the whole performance, and they'll cut in with adverts, or to an inane talking head 'celebrity', just as it gets to a good part of the performance

I expect they won't miss the opportunity of a DVD release.
