The Invisible Man is their most sophisticated work, to be honest. I doubt anyone could top anything like that. If it was released as a single in the USA, it would have charted at #1 in the first week and everyone knows it, even if they disgree. People only disagree because Freddie and Brian didn't write it.

There is difference between BEST and FAVOURITE.

In the first category, i think that "Bo Rhap", "Prophet's Song" and "Innuendo" are true epic masterpieces (most stuff on "Opera" and "Innuendo" is top notch but these are the epics).

As for my favourite song I had several throughout my life.

When I was six my favourite songs were "Body Language" and "Staying Power". "Hot Space" was my first Queen album, would you believe it? Most people would probably say that "HS" is the last album to start your adventure with Queen, but for a six-year-old kid it's probably the coolest introduction possible...

When I grew up a bit (ten year old) I loved "Another One Bites The Dust" and "The Invisible Man". As you can see, the funky side of Queen was the thing that had attracted be to the band. But still, by then "HS", "The Works", "The Game" and "Greatest Hits II" were the only Queen records I've had.

It wasn't until 1997 or so (I was 14 then), when I started to collect all the other albums (on cassettes, as CD's were still not that common in Poland those days; there were only a handful of music shops in the country, where you could get them). By 1998 I had their all records and just fell in love with all the old stuff.

But still it wasn't until 2000 when I finally acknowledged that 70's stuff was actually better than 80's stuff...

I went a bit off topic with the post, but I just had to share it with someone. Hope you won't ban me, or something...
