An amazing day! In the afternoon we went to see "The Song Remains The Same" in Times Square and then went to see Queen for the first time with the best band to ever open for them.(Sorry Billy) My favorite Queen show of all time. The first concert I had ever taped in my life, unfortunately the first two songs from the show were on the tail end of the Thin Lizzy tape which subsequently got mangled. I wasn't smart enough at the time to understand that I should of used a fresh tape to start the show. Thanks for sharing!!

In response to Knebworth; yes, this is one of five Queen shows that I recorded over the years. I would hope to say I got better at it over the years. It's great to see them shared throughout the community....the coolest thing is going into bootleg stores and seeing some of the shows I recorded being released by various bootleg companies.

great! everyone who takes the effort and risk to record and preserve an important music event for the posterity is a hero. bravo and cool that you don´t get mad with people selling your stuff. could you please tell us some more about your equipment and where your place was in the audience? have you downloaded this show, shared here on qz, and compared it with your recording? it would be very nice if you could share your recording here if it is better than this one.

Rschoorl is the taper of this source - the only known source of the show. His master sounds virtually identical to the copies that have circulated over the years. Perhaps he can add more..?

I was up in the nose bleed section which didn't contribute to the overall sound. I recorded the show with a hand held portable Panasonic cassette recorder stuffed in my jacket....but I've got to tell you, in those days Security didn't really hassle you much if you brought in a cassette recorder or Super 8 camera. With my hearing these days (too many shows without earplugs) I struggle to tell the difference in quality unless its dramatic.
As far as me downloading my shows, I wouldn't have a clue, its all beyond me, but at least they are all out there.

Greatings!
I just wanted to ask you to re-upload these files again, please. I can't handle torrent files so I can't download the mirror files.
Thanks and have a nice day!

Hey Sir GH, as we discussed once before. There is another source from which I once had a copy . I purchased it that same year but unfortunately the tape was damaged in a flood.
The store has since closed but I found another store under the same name but different owner. Unfortunately, the only show he had of Queen is th 1975 Christmas Show. I still look out for it when I go to stores throughout New York City but no luck so far.
I know for sure  that the show I had was from a difference source because when Freddie said "Maybe next time we'll come back with an orchestra, what do you think?" ,someone next to the taper said " No don't".
This is right before White Man.

If I ever do find that source, you will be the first to know about it.

Hope you can finally track it down some day.  Do you recall the quality being much better than the existing source?

Nice to know that an alternate source exists (or at least has existed). Do you remember if it is complete?

I would hope that another source exists.  Last year I downloaded the Thin Lizzy opener from that night off of Dimeadozen which sounded better than this source.  We can all hope that the taper also recorded Queen and will share it at some point.
