Cosmos of Rockin': opening with some horror film sounds it emerges as a straigth rocker in best Status Quo sound.

Time To Shine: Spherical Ethno sounds grow to a bombastic rocker in the style of It's Late.

Quiet of Burnin': Typical Paul-Rodgers-Blues combined with hard rock guitars and a chorus lead by roger ? Rock ? n roll will never die ?

Small: Fine acoustic ballad with hymn-like refrain soudns a bit like All God's People. A definite radio-favorite.

Warboys: Weird guitar inferno as the only approach to the hard rock genre.

We Believe: Fragile acoustic arrangement grows to a typical queen hymn. The biggest memory to the Mercury past.

Call Me: Banal Sing-A-Long in the folk rock sound.

Voodoo: Tuneful Blues-Jam with sound check character. A filling number.

Some Things That Glitter: Epochal piano rockers in dynamic range. The Bohemian Rhapsody of this CD.

C-lebrity: we all know about this..

Through The Night: Bombastic guitar carpets hit on carried Vocal arrangements.

Say its not true: we all know about this..

Surf Up... School's Out!: Weird Radio-Intro followed from harp inferno and some Headlonglike Mitstampf beat.

Small reprise: A gentle Chill out Grooves end.

Thomas, does Warboys sound completely different to the Paul Rodgers acoustic live version?

Thanks for the review! Looks like we have a true Queen album to look forward to. I can't wait to hear it.

I hope some new songs (other than C-Lebrity) turn up on youtube very, very soon.

Does John Deacon perform on this album? Or do Bryan, Rodger and Paul Rogers take control of bass duties?

Liverpool Arena, 17th October 2008: Lovely stuff!

Manchester MEN, 4th May 2005: F*cking superb.

No. Paul and Brian swap bass duties according to the press release. (Though apparently Roger might have used bass on some songs while composing them, cos early on they did say all three of them were playing bass.....maybe Roger wasn't that good?)

Apparently not, it seems.
No-one's confirmed or denied it, but Wegotit hasn't said that it was even based on Take Love (and I'm assuming he's familiar with TL), so I guess the answer is no.

Horror film sounds?? I was expecting some cosmic sound effects (considering the title). Well, maybe they were aiming at space sounds but got lost somewhere along the way.

funny, when i met brian in liverpool, i asked him aobut take love, i have kept it to myself since but he said, yes we have recorded take love althouhg it isnt finished yet- that to me sounds like it would be on the album?? maybe they are reseving it for the next album? as they have enough origonal material for the cosmos rocks?? i got AAA passes to one of the O2 arena gigs so i will ask him then haha. hmmmm

At the listening party at EMI for fans yesterday somebody apparently asked about Take Love. They were told that the band never finished recording it because they were not happy with out how it sounded in the studio.
