If that set list is correct, it's odd isn't it? Why so little new stuff? Doesn't seem worth it for 2 new numbers.

Very strange IMHO.

Oops. isn't shooting star a PR / Free number? Even more pointless exercise then.

If the set list is accurate then my expectations for the set on the tour have been lowered slightly. With the exception of AOBTD, Shooting Star, Cosmos and IWIA I hoped/expected some or all of those others to be dropped this time round in favour of new material/older stuff which could be brilliant to reintroduce.

Whose to say that they won't play any other older songs or new songs from cosmos rocks that to me is a rehearsal set and nothing more. They could for all we know drop IWIA, AKOM, AOBTD etc we don't know for sure, i know and roger stated this in the front row interview that people who go to the shows will expect to hear the hits so they have to be included.

I'll think i'll wait until the 12th sept or possibly first few shows before i decide whether or not to grumble about it, on a postive note shooting star was there so that's good.

I agree. Let's have less new, fresh material that has been written specifically for Paul to sing and instead let's hear lots more of TYMD and WWRY done karaoke style.

i want to see them again, i want to hear great old things. also, would be good if they put 2 new songs, they promote album after all. maybe it's not enough for promoting but i think that would be best way. would be fantastic if they put some old songs that they didn't perform, like i'm going slightly mad, i think paul could sing it, innuendo too...

They should play the whole album on tour and establish themselves as a "new" group producing new material. Of course they need to play a few older numbers too but I would drop songs like Bo Rap, AOBTD plus any further tributes to Fred.

Holly2003,

Couldn't agree with you more. Whilst the BoRhap tribute thing was great as an acknowledgement to Freddie, I honestly don't see it being interesting this time around. As much as I'd like to see it taken out of the set, there's no way it'll happen - it's too big a millstone around their necks for it to go.

AKOM was horrible on the tour and the bluesy kick off to HTF (although being a nice surprise at Brian's shows) just didn't work either. My suggestion would be to get more of the early Queen material out there - stuff that's not so familiar to newer fans, but works incredibly well live. Paul singing White Queen would be INCREDIBLE!

There's all sorts of stuff they can oull out to make this exciting, but it's just NOT going to happen.

There is going to be a huge amount of bitching once this tour starts. Face facts..... there will be LESS old Queen songs played on this tour than the last. They are going to play new stuff. The setlist is also not aimed at die hard fans, but Joe Public.

That would be nice, to have a classics R'n'R medley during the tour :-)
I doubt it would happen, but you never know.

(After all, they DO pull some nice surprises, like "Red House" - only done at the Vancouver gig two years ago, which I was at! Though I'll admit I never heard the song ever before that...)

I wish they'd do the whole album in the first half of the show - then in the 2nd half an hour of the biggest Queen/Paul Rodgers hits.

Set 1: Cosmos Rocks
-- intermission --
Set 2:
Fat Bottomed Girls
Wishing Well
Another One Bites The Dust
Shooting Star
Bad Company
-- encore 1 --
Tie Your Mother Down
I Want It All
The Show Must Go On
-- encore 2 --
All Right Now
WWRY
WATC

Let's face it, when they start to play new songs (cosmos rocks stuff) people start to move towards toilets or bar desk to order more beer
