Hollywood Records (Queen’s North American label) have endorsed a Street Team for the release of ‘The Cosmos Rocks’. The idea is to help spread the word on the album through online activities, fly posting and contacting radio stations. For more information in joining and helping out e-mail qplusprstreetteam@hotmail.com Source: http://www.queenonline.com/qpr/news/693/

I can't believe Roger and Brian need a street team. That's something only small timers do!

Giggity.
The Golden Gate Bridge should have a long bungee cord for people who aren’t quite ready to commit suicide but want to get in a little practice.

Queen is NOT looking for a street team. Such activity is reserved for small-time regional bands who need a cheap mode of advertisement. I should know. I'm the fucking guitarist! Goddamnit! Cheers Bri

Well if it's small fry then unfortunately QPR need it. Queen wouldn't have, but we have to accept that this AIN'T Queen. It's half of it, plus a singer who, if we'd said when FM was with us that he would be replaced by him, we'd have all scoffed. I look forward to hearing TCR, but more out of curiosity I'm afraid...but then I think that Queen fans are in two groups nowadays...those that don't see this as Queen and more so a bad that Roger and Brian set up, and those that do see this as still being Queen....and I'm in the former.. :-(

Hey folks- Ok. There is a Q+PR Street Team that Hollywood Records is endorsing. You can contact me for information at qplusprstreetteam@hotmail.com. If you want to take a look at a myspace page that I set up with some info on it go to www.myspace.com/queenpluspaulrodgersusastreetteam And no...you do not get paid. FYI...many major bands use Street Teams to embellish on the promotion that their record label does. It makes perfect sense. There is no way that a few promotion people at a label can handle hanging posters, passing out flyers, calling all local radio stations, checking stores to make sure that albums and singles are in stock, going to local clubs and seeking out potential fans to give info to, across an entire continent. The Street Team is made up of fans from all over the USA and Canada. Not just major cities where the regular promotion might be done by the label. The street team members are helping to get the word out about the new Q+PR album and tour. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about us. Thanks! Robyn
