Welcome indeed! Glad you liked the album. Why were you surprised? Did you not know about the Queen and Paul Rodgers project? Whats your thoughts on weather the band should still be carrying the Queen name without Freddie and John. IS it justified or should they have given themselves a new name like green onions?

Would be interesting to get the views of a casual fan as opposed to a die hard with an emotional attachment like a lot of folk on here.

thank you for the welcome.in response i was aware of colaboration with paul rogers just hadnt realised they were doing an album together.do i think they should have come up with a new group name, certainly not!for starters i would not have bought the album as it was the queen name that grabbed my attention secondly they are called queen and paul rogers not just queen so it says what it does on the tin!everyone is aware that john isnt interested in coming back and sadly freddie has left us(17 years ago)so why shouldnt brian and roger keep on making great music under the queen banner after all they are two of the four founding members!with all due respect, bollocks to the nay sayers lets enjoy this as long as it lasts its only music after all!

My word "Bollocks to the nay sayers" You've certainly arrived with a bang, you may get your head taken off for a comment like that one. Just for the record I alsofind nothing wrong with them using the Queen name. Interesting that it was the Queen name that attracted you to the album and you still enjoyed it. Me too!!

Welcome to the place we all love to hate!

Where most of us rants about wheter Q+PR really should be using the Queen name.

Where we kick at a already beaten down Paul Rodgers for not being Freddie Mercury.

Where Treasure Moment(that´s his nick) spreads frustration amongst the masses about his band and his dislike to everyone and everything exept Freddie, himself and his shitty Queen wannabe band.

Where Jake? and Fatty, amongst many, are regulars like Barney and Larry at Moe´s tavern in the Simpsons.

Where 45% of all threads ends up with someone threatens to kill someone(preferably Treasue Moment).

Hope you like your stay!

Cheers, Henke.

Hi Im new too but I have been on Queenzone before just lurking to see what it was like but never posted anything. It seems to get a bit hot under the collar sometimes so did not think a newbie giving there bucks worth would be welcomed. But as youve taken the plunge then so shall I. I have always admired queen also and adored freddie mercury. I bought new queen and paul rodgers cd on tuesday and i think its as good as a lot of already queen songs on other albums. Dont get me wrong its no night at the opera but ithink its a good rock album that still sounds a lot like queen withour freddie mercurys unique voice. Paul Rodgers also has a very good voive but very diferent to Freddie and I like him a lot too. I will also go see them in concert which i think will be spectacular. I still consider them to be queen just queen without the queen.

Good to see that there are still people out there with open minds, even if they have become nearly extinct on this forum.

Hi, and welcome. Good to have a new face, and I hope you'll figure out caps and spaces soon.

As for the favourite song, for me it's Warboys.

Just a little warning - questions like "what is your favorite [fill in the blank]" tend to equate assisted suicide on QZ.

Is this guy for real? there's no way Paul Rodgers could beat Freddie in a fight.
