Sorry Paul, Brian and Roger...

but this is probably the best cover version of 'Runaway'... ever...

It probably also says more about my age, nationality, race, class, musicality, humour, sexual-orientation, etc, etc... but hey, it's my thread!

The mine guy was pretty creepy alright. I reckon we should send a petition to Brian for Runaway to be included on the setlist but not only that, Paul, Brian, Danny and Jamie have to do that dance. Can anyone see Dr. May doing that?

Ask your husband - He's from Scotland too isn't he?

A great combination of music, menace, humour and theatricality.
Alex Harvey - something of a God in Scotland! (RIP)

Yeah, but they gotta wear the sombreros that The Three Amigos picked up in Tijuana after last tour's San Diego gig. The mime makeup's gotta go on Spike.

I saved Spike's life in 'Nam.

That was Zal Cleminson's style. Rather than just be the guitarist in the band, he often chose to do a "performance". He did the same when he played briefly with another great Scottish band called Nazareth - that was the only time I saw him in concert.

That indeed, is correct - Nazareth was the place Christ came from - and often the place he kept 'going back' to also.

No: Alex Harvey!

Never heard of 'The Sensational Dan McCafferty Band' ;-)
But yes, Dan Mccafferty was indeed the lead singer of 'Nazereth'.

I like The Beach Boys version as well. They only did it live though. I have a video of a concert from 1983, which is one of the last occasions with all six Beach Boys (yes, with Denny on drums and Brian being surprisingly happy).
