This has been discussed so many times... the dead bloody horse is still being kicked. But honestly... I wish john would come back, he was always in the pocket, had amazing stage presence and not to mention a great bass player. I think brian and roger miss him more than they say. No negative feeling towards miranda but hey.... John Deacon is John Deacon!

And when are they gonna release live at the rainbow?
sorry A.D.D. kicking in

It would be nice if he would at least appear as a special guest star on some UK concert

Yes, it's been discussed :) And there's nothing we can do but fondly miss the great bass player...

John Deacon has bowed out gracefully at the top, his place/reputation is assured as a great Bass Player and Song Writer.
He made a couple appearances after the passing of Freddie, but didn't find sufficent inspiration to carry on I suspect, the new album could have done with some of his subtle bass lines, Brian/John/Roger made a great combination with their complex and innovative arrangements and material.
Paul Rodgers is a one trick pony with his bluesy orientated stuff, which is a yawn after about two songs.

John Deacon disappeared in Brian May's hair.
