This was already announced in Queen News, and here is a link to the Fathom company that is sponsoring this in 300+ movie theaters. http://www.fathomevents.com/details.aspx?eventid=755[/url[/url

Weekday evening movies are not well attended in the USA and especially so since the economy downturn. Thus Fathom brings special events on the same date to theaters across the nation to boost sales. I believe they started with operas and have added other genres. (It is an inexpensive way to dabble in opera which I may try sometime.)
Maybe six months ago I saw We Will Rock You (Montreal). Freddie and the gang on the big screen was great fun! It was double-billed with a Deep Purple concert - two for the price of one. When I heard about it, I was afraid there would be no tickets left, but there were - $10 each online. There were only three of us in the whole audience! Deep Purple was on first, and Queen ended about 11 pm. It was a 16-screen theater, and on a Monday evening at 11 pm, the whole place was dark and deserted - very creepy walking out of there. I could have bought a ticket at the door. Weeks afterwards I started receiving SPIN magazine in the mail each month - Fathom apparently sells your name to a mailing list.
The concert was terrific even though I have watched it a zillion times on my tv at home. With surround-sound there was a whole new listening experience. Freddie sounded even better if you can imagine that! I e-mailed Fathom to request Live At The Bowl and Wembley, but that did not materialize. Who knows, maybe if a lot of Queen fans did the same, it might happen.
So, here's your chance to "see" Queen+PR in the USA.
Yes, it was a worthwhile experience.
