Hey guys, not sure if this is a one-off, or a sign of things to come -- I just got my first YouTube notice about copyrighted material -- and it was for a QUEEN song that I used in a video.

Anyone else have this happen? Could it be related to the new album being released (even though this is an old , non GH track?)

Perhaps not. When you produce a video (I'm quoting an episode I saw happen) in Media Player format it adds the info of the soundtrack used to the file properties - if you let it add it. I don't remember where these settings are by heart, but it's possible to clear that information in the movie properties I think. If this information is present, and if it is of a known artist, it gets detected. In this episode I saw, this guy had the movie removed and then he reuploaded the same video without this info and it wasn't bothered.

YouTube deleted the Bohemian Rhapsody pop up video from my folder. I just noticed that yesterday when I read your message and checked. I deleted all the music video clips and just kept a interview and a comedy piece. I think they deleted hundreds of pop up videos, though, not just BoRhap.

I do not want any google ads here.

Yes, I've got the same message for my Scandal remix material.

Explaining a little better: open the file you uploaded to be converted in Youtube in Media Player. Right click and choose "properties", second tab. See what's written there... this info is embedded to the file and Youtube checks it and if it has something illegal... there goes your file. Like this:

This is from a live broadcast wmv of the Live 8, Floyd's appearance. I don't know who sent me this or where I got it so I have no clue if this is an "official" version or not, but definitely the "AOL" in the copyrights would ring a bell to Youtube.
