Brian, Roger, and Paul make some fine, well rehearsed music together. Particularly strong songs include Some Things That Glitter, We Believe, Small, and C-lebrity. Other surprises include Call Me, Voodoo, and Say It's Not True. They have put forth a noble and exciting first album together that is easy to listen to from beginning to end. The playlist varies from ballad, to anthem rock, to blues. There is something for everybody, especially those who love the innovative and memerizing guitar work of the inimitable Brian May! Paul Rogers has a strong voice and complements the band nicely, however, it is hard not to notice he is somewhat limitable compared to "you know who." I can always tell a Roger Taylor song when I hear because they are rather quirky and catchy as evidenced by C-lebrity. He adds all the little idiosynchrosies to the songs that give them kick. This CD was a pleaseant surprise and the band shows great potential. "Surf's Up. School's Out." may be an indication that the band is even willing to get a little bizarre. Hopefully, they will continue to push their limits and grow as a band. I wonder just how far out into the cosmos they can rock?

Maybe I will be the only one, but I agree with you.

The only thing is that SayItsNotTrue is NOT a surprise: it's the only song yet released (a year) before the album launch...

I think that TCR is not an underrated album (in general, not only by fans) but it fails on the marketing: not a video clip in tv, not a gigantography in the shops neither.... very strange if we compare with previous Queen promotions.

Personally, I like and enjoy this work, probably because I don't try to compare with the historic album from the past.

bye

So good to finally see a good review...I'm sick of the Q+PR bashers that seem to post every - single - day!
Well, cheers, and thanks for an optimistic review!

I have to return some videotapes.
