All,

I'm thinking about making a compilation for the 2008 Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour. I have seen many other artists' fans do the same, so figured this would be a good time to do one for these shows.

Obviously the Tour is not over yet, so there is time for new songs to be added (unlikely as it seems, Runaway, Small and Still Burnin' have been soundchecked) but I want to get preparing for this compilation.

I have a slow Internet connection, meaning even Mp3 downloads take a long time - I don't want to make a compilation made from lossy formats so I am looking for any B+P traders to assist me. Ideally, sound quality and good performances would be superb, though if needbe, I feel going for the definitive versions of songs is a better idea.

Instead of making ever song fit into a setlist order - which will sound silly considering 'A Kind Of Magic' has been sung by both Paul and Roger etc.. - the outline for the set will be something like this:-

Discs 1+2 - 28 or so songs, making up a full setlist in the order songs tended to be played. Some seldom played songs will fit in here. No fades between songs, all joined properly and normalized.
Disc 3 (+4, if needed) - Other songs that were played throughout the Tour, but (a) didn't fit into the order for Discs 1+2, along with other versions of songs (Brian singing 'We Believe' for example).

If you can help, feel free to drop me an e-mail at whufcnick@yahoo.co.uk . Thanks in advance!

Hi !

I think we have one great buddy there who is probably doing the same as you, using a lossless format, am I wrong dear Dobo ? ;o) He created a nice one for the 2005/2006 tour, so he is probably creating another one for the current tour. I think you should try to contact him first before launching your project, and maybe you could join your forces on that !

regards,

Olivier,
Belgium.

wanna trade ?

I'd be happy to donate a full lossless wav. version of Time To Shine from Antwerpen 2008 for that project.
