No offence to Inu-Liger but i thought "Whassup" was annoying years ago and i haven't changed my mind about it since.

I forgot about that meme (as it would be called now, I think....certainly not fad!)

It's rather sad I think, although fictional these commercials were and still are, when you are shown what COULD happen to people over the years due to the times and the economy.

I'm sure some people might find issue with this ending up to be an election-type ad instead of a Budweiser/beer commercial, but hey! The original depicted them in much happier, fun days just chilling and having a good time, and now, I think this new one is really representative of what's happening to quite a lot of Americans now.

But that's just my two cents.

^ I don't think the "Whassup" guys have much political resonance because people will just focus on the novelty of those guys doing something cocerning  the current socio-economic situation. Americans are facing a financial crisis but so are our dear  Canadian cousins, are former British superiors, the North Slobobians, its the whole world dude.

No doubt. It definitely is at least half for the novelty value, but I thought it was an interesting take with some realistic modernism thrown in the mix :-)
