Hey.

During the 2:35 - 3:03 bit of the song, Brian plays something that I'm sure I've heard somewhere other than on the AKOM album. Someone has told me maybe it's a Scottish folk song (which would suit the movie), but he wasn't sure.

Does anybody have any info?

It's probably meant to sound generically Scottish, in the same way that China Belle sounds generically oriental, Mustapha generically Arabic etc....

It gives a bagpipe feeling IMO, especially with John's bass sound...

It maybe refers to a band called Big Country who did the guitar playing like a basspipe also
