From what I have read in the past and recently, John Deacon wants nothing more to do with the music industry. He is content living with his family.

John Deacon is dead.  I'm not surprised he doesn't answer the call.

It's funny how saying Miranda plays on the album automatically makes this article complete B.S.!

I think Richard means May and Rodgers play bass on the album and Miranda plays bass on tour...

Bit dissapointed in John Deacon. Queen Were John, Roger, Brian and Freddie.  Freddie (Im sure) would still be there if he had the chance.  John for me has let the side down a little.

Im pleased Brian and Roger keep offering him the chance.  Hopefully one day he will return!

whatever gave you that idea about Freddie? He made no secret of the fact that he was not going to go on forever...he was even fed up with the cycle of album-tour-album-tour

John is probably the most sensible Member of Queen

He realised that Queen were an amazing foursome...just not the same with one peice of the jigsaw missing

Well, yes, if you quote half a sentence it becomes inaccurate.

Well done.

I had a wonderful time in high school but at this stage of my life I wouldn't want to return there at all. I believe it's the same with John.
If right now he is where he wants to be, then why go on tour?

The whole sentence = "In his place, Rodgers, May and former Blue Oyster Cult star Danny Miranda provide bass on the group's new record and live.
But May and Taylor have never given up on their former bandmate."

You were saying, Masterjoke?

Your disappointed in him for having a life outside of Brian's latest money grab? Who's letting "the side down"?

the whole 'getting tired of album-tour' cycle was patently just a cover for him not being physical able to tour anymore.

Even though Queen would have likely stopped touring full-time at or soon after the Magic tour regardless of his health, I think they'd have still done live shows and mini-tours in the future.

I guess he told you this, then?

You're probably half right, but to be fair they were at it for a long long time in the scheme of things.

If for some unknown reason a miracle happened and Freddie came back, thats when John would come back.Unless ofcourse the paychecks dry up.
