If you're talking about a program to create DVD's, a lot of people here use DVD Lap Pro. If you have an Apple, iDVD is fine.

To answer the question:

I capture my dv tapes with sony vegas pro 8.0 (wich can aslo capture high def. tapes)
and I use sony DVD architect 4.0 to create dvds.

TMPGENC is also a program wich is used by many people (easy to use but limited in options compared to the sony software)

Do you really think so?
I've been using it for 6 years as it was the best at the time and having looked at some of the new ones, I really can't be bothered to spend hours learning how to do things differently. Maestro is pretty easy to use!

That's true. I think you stick to what you know. I do. When it does the job and it's good there's no
need to change. Personally I prefer the sony software (soundforge, vegas, dvd architect) and after using it
for some time It's easy to use and I don't want to change...
