British magazine elects best vocalist of Led Zeppelin singer Readers of a magazine specializing in British music chosen the best voice in the history of rock and roll. The winner was Robert Plant, lead singer of Led Zeppelin, which desbancou other big names such as Freddie Mercury and Mick Jagger.

The voice of acute and torn Robert Plant has always been one of the main features of Led Zeppelin. Next to the guitarist Jimmy Page, the singer knew how to innovate in the mixture of heavy sound with other rhythms. And the British group turned into one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

And Led Zeppelin just to win one more title to the collection. Readers of a publication English Robert Plant elected the best singer in the history of rock and roll.

And the visa, the British voted in only their countrymen. The silver medal went to another legendary singer of English rock. Freddie Mercury, the unforgettable voice of the Queen.

Match, the 3rd place was with Paul Rodgers, who currently occupies the post of which was Freddie Mercury in Queen. The rock singer has also been the bands Free and Bad Company.

I posted this yesterday. Seems like the British and the Norwegians thinks the same...:


In a contest among best voices in rock music, Freddie Mercury is on second place after Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. The list is from the biggest newspaper in Norway:
