Queen are to reissue all studio albums on vinyl.http://www.queenonlinestore.com/productdetail.jsp?productPK=unittest-Udor6N2XdolRj1yZpN3IEb-1&CategoryPK=unittest-ZkFPwxmhQPJAPHA2qN3IEb-1142

What do you think about this? I love the sound of vinyl and have not completed my collection due to receiving worn copies. So for me this is quite good, but £16.99 for stuff we already have. I won't even list the stuff we want because I feel there will be more rants about this. I will say though that as the singles collection was released for the general population, I think this is aimed at true Queen fans, as not many people buy vinyl, let alone an album you haven't heard of. But if this is aimed at us, come on give us something new!!!

Just one year of love, is better than a life time alone!

This release is also meant for the general, true music lover.
The true musiclover/audiophile DOES buy vinyl again - some more then cd's even and sales of vinyl are going up.
As these will be heavyweight audiophile vinyl (first time the majority of Queen repertoire is released in such format) it WILL appeal to not specificly Queen-fans.

Though, as an audiophiliac AND a Queen-fan, I was not very pleased with the mediocre quality of the US versions that were released some months ago, with neither audioquality as the quality of the used material for packaging and the care for reproduction of the original art. I bought QII and SHA but was that much disappointed that I will not be buying any of the releases to come, although It's a DREAM to have all the Queen albums in GOOD audiophile pressings. Knowing QP a bit, I have little hope that the EU versions will differ al lot from the US versions. Shame realy...
