Hi all

Although a new member here I have been a queen fan since the mid 70s>

I remember when the original Freddie Tribute concert was aired and seem to remember that the other artists did a small set each covering Queen songs before the main concert with the remaining band members

I really enjoyed the concert and have it on a dvd and have seen it many times on different sky channels over the years.

However, it is only the combined or second part which ever gets shown. So does anyone know if the first part is available anywhere to buy or download?

thanks all

The video of all artists occasionally comes up on ebay. Hope this helps:

DO NOT PAY FOR BOOTLEGS!!

Go to the request forum of QZ and ask. I'm sure that somebody in here has the possibility to upload it.

A fan since the '70s, yet you still spell "Freddie" with a "y"?

It's not a bootleg to my knowledge.

The video in there is indeed official.

But since the original poster wants a COMPLETE show, bootleg market is his only option.
(Both the official vhs as the official dvd are edited and miss full performances).

I just wonder, reading this topic, if it'd be ok to post a recording of the tv broadcast?

I once found Innuendo by R. Plant, on e-mule, but in very poor quality...

To New Member:

Queen has only had four members since they began their recording career:
Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, backing vocals),
Roger Taylor (drums, backing vocals), and John Deacon (bass).  They also
all play keyboards on their albums in the 80s (no synthesizers were used
in the 70s).  In addition to their primary instruments, all four have
played additional various instruments on some songs.

When Freddie first changed his name to Freddie "Mercury" he considered
spelling Freddie with a "Y" for about 4 seconds then changed his mind.

In the very early days, Queen went through 3 bass players (one of them
only for one show) before John Deacon joined them in late February of
1971.  (Queen had first performed live on June 27, 1970.)

During the 1980's there were also several keyboard players who accompanied
them on their tours, Fred Mandel, Morgan Fisher, and Spike Edney.

thanks for the input guys, lol at the spelling must have had a block, seems i have courted some controversy with that.

If there is a link to a download or dvd that would be great, not sure the vhs i have still works [/img]
