I'm not sure if this has been shared here but I've been requested to upload it so here you are :)

Band : Queen
Venue : Coliseum, Richfield, Ohio, USA
Date : 23. January 1977
Lineage : SBD > ? > CD (x) > WAV > FLAC

Review from http://www.queenlive.ca/

Richfield is a small suburb of Cleveland. In fact, the Coliseum held over five times the population of the town at the time (the town's population hasn't grown much since then, if at all), so clearly people were travelling from Cleveland for events here.

Freddie, after Ogre Battle: "The nasty Queenies are back to entertain you." This is perhaps the last time he would refer to the band as such.

Brian, after Somebody To Love: "Thanks a lot. We have to play the hits. Thank you for making it a hit."

Freddie, after Sweet Lady: "Every time we do a show we like to do a number that features Brian May on the guitar. Is that alright? This time we've chosen a number called Brighton Rock." But this is the usual rock star babble, when one pretends that they're doing something only for a particular audience, when in fact they do it every night. Brighton Rock was played on the previous US tour as well.

Brian, after Brighton Rock: "We're gonna try something which we weren't accustomed to doing on stage until very recently; something off the last album which got requested last time. It's a song about a man who goes away and dreams of coming home, and when he comes home, it's not like how he thought it was going to be. This is '39". Brian very rarely explained the meanings of his songs during Queen's heyday, so this is a rare moment, even though he still didn't fully explain everything. In 2005 he opened up furthermore, saying how it was perhaps the first general relativity song. The astronomy bug never did leave him.

Freddie, after '39: "Thank you. I bet you thought we weren't gonna do that one. We're gonna try out all kinds of new things this year. And this is another one. This is off the current album, A Day At The Races. This is a little song called You Take My Breath Away." How humble of him to refer to it as that. Give his ego a few years to grow (example).

Freddie's voice is a bit weak tonight, but he still manages to nail a few of the higher notes here and there. As a whole, the North American 'A Day At The Races' tour wouldn't be his strongest in terms of vocal range, but it surely didn't slow down the growth of his stage persona. That aside, jumping from a ballad like You Take My Breath Away right into a rocker like White Man is a fine example of Freddie's versatility as a singer.

Their vocal harmonies are beautiful in You're My Best Friend (especially at the beginning, sounding almost like the studio version even with only three voices). The concert highlight is a spectacular version of the White Man and The Prophet's Song combination.

Thanks for this. A quick question: if this is a soundboard recording why does it sound so poor? Is it the distant ancestor of a much better recording? Also, this gives me hope that Queen recording a number of shows from this period and we might, some day, see them released in some way.

I'd say it's too many generations from the master tape

Thanks for this! It sounds a bit better than my previous source, that I think it was shared here or in a similar website some time ago.

So is this one that has escaped Greg brooks' "meticulous" (ahem) eye? When he listed what was avaialble a while back in his usual sloppy and incomplete way, was this concert included? It's highly unlikely that Queen recorded this concert on its own and so the possibility is that more soundboard recordings of this tour exist. It's also of course possible that some roadie recorded this on his own initiative but I don't think that's likely. Anyone have any further info?

Was it the guy who claimed to have the Sunburry video but he needs "the key" ?

Naah. Just a Dutch bloke who claims he has some SBD masters.

Looking for some feedback on this remaster/turd polishing I'm attempting with this recording. It's gonna sound like shit no matter what but at least its clearer more balanced shit I think.

I'm not too fond about the digital hiss that I hear. I myself tried several times to remaster this one but never succeeded to get a satisfying result.

I'm not too happy with it either. The fact that its a stereo soundboard from 1977 makes me wanna try to get something good out of this but it just doesnt seem possible.
