Isnt it amazing the effect that Freddie Mercury must have had on us
Queens first album was released in 1973 and Their last one with a living Freddie was Innuendo in 1991
Thats an 18 yr span of amazing music that we all loved (give or take the odd mishap lol)
This year it will also be 18 yrs since his untimely death yet we still continue to love his vocals more than any of the pretenders that have tried to take over his throne.
How time flies,I just find it incredible hes been gone the same length of time he was actually making wonderful music.
Live Aid was the day he showed the world what being an entertainer was all about. The group all put on the performances of they're lives to save lives that day.Thats 24 years ago,but it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck when I watch it like it did all those years ago.
Thank you Freddie for "There can be only one!"

Id also like to thank all the wonderful people on this site that share so much
I have found some wonderful dvds here, many of which put official releases to shame.
Christmas 75,Hyde Park,Earls Court,Houston and all the Live Killers stuff
As Freddie would say "I THANK YOU ALL"

You havent heard of JJ Midnight then. His unique abilities include "nailing Freddie Mercury's vocal print, all night long" and he has "the one voice that can recreate the late great Queen lead vocalist Freddie Mercury's range like nobody else."

Then of course there is Queenzone's favourite band for taking the piss..... errrm sorry.... for praising highly, Treasure Moment who are by their own admition, "following In Queen's footsteps."

Yes dear Freddie is not the only one.... at least in some people's eye's.

Glad I supplied it Zeb. I laughed when I read that thread too. Though not as much as I did when you supplied us with 7 minute version of Bo Rhap........ [/img]

Great topic! And let's not forget how many people got inspired by Freddie. The lovely Dutch Miracles, all those artists contributing in the Fan-Art Section. Even musicians like Treasure Moment, who by the way are good but still very very young and thus their mouths are a bit too big.

Me, myself, just am going to publish 3 more books by the end of the month - too of them dedicated to Freddie.

Thanks!
