The downloadable songs are We Are The Champions, Fat Bottomed Girls and C-lebrity. The pack can be purchased for 440 Microsoft points.

This is not the selection I would've made, but it's certainly better than no Queen at all. I think it's a good commercial move to release C-lebrity though. Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band are very popular at the moment, allowing many players to (re)discover rock music. Maybe if this pack is a hit, more Queen songs (or an entire album) will start to appear. In my opinion these games work best with heavy rock songs, so I say bring on the Queen Rocks album as downloadable content.

I would buy these 3 tracks, however I'm in the Rock Band camp [/img].

Kinda late to be putting C-lebrity on something like this, but maaaybe it will help sell a few copies of TCR.  Also, wish it was a Rock Band pack.  I really do not like Guitar Hero World tour, but I kept the game anyway.  Now, I'm glad I did.

Guitar Hero World Tour is lame compared to Rock Band. Still, nice to see a Queen pack.

I'm holding out hope for a larger Rock Band pack in the future.

That's why I use the Guitar Hero guitar, but the game is lame compared to Rock Band.

I hope they make a similar package for Rockband. Including "C-lebrity" in there would be perfect as well, although it would have been best if it had been included with the original disc.

This is another way of reaching the younger people. Whether some will want to accept it or not, many people will download the pack just for playing WATC; some will like C-lebrity, some will download the mp3 and a smaller portion might even buy the album eventually.

I'm not talking big bucks here but I think this is a small step in the right direction.

"Rockband: Queen"... now THAT would be something else.

Erin,

Is Guitar Hero World Tour anything like Rockband? I haven't played it yet.

Do they sell the disc separately so you can play with the rockband instruments? I won't buy the whole package just for the Queen pack, however tempting it may be. :S

I would buy Singstar Queen if it's not that expensive just because it is a whole game dedicated to Queen and not 3 tracks that I would have to download afterwards.

The Rock Band instruments work with Guitar Hero.  The only thing that won't work is if you have the cymbal expansion on the Rock Band 2 drums.  I unplug mine when I play GH, because if you accidentally tap them, the drums become "disconnected."  I guess they did this on purpose so they only cymbals you can use with the game would be on the GH drums.  I really hate the GH drums.  It just feels awkward to me playing them.

Anyway, the game is kinda similar.  I haven't even completed it, though.  The graphics aren't as good, the character creator sucks, but what is the most annoying is the slow loading times.  Plus, I don't like how you deploy overdrive/star power on GH, and I can't even tell when I screw up because of where the status bar thing is.  But hey....Queen pack, woo hoo! ;-)
