Something, I hope, funny and amusing. :op

Ok, I like and admire this singer you're about to hear a lot. Check out her renditions of Somewhere Over The Rainbow and you'll see what I'm talking about! She started to get known in the business when Dylan had her play the supporting/opening act for his tours - she was quite young then. From then on, she got famous with her own albums and for being one of the highlights of the Lilith Fair Concert.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would you be able to do this? :))) It's hard because each note must be squarely in tune for the melodic contour of the song to come up - and it takes a lot of breath, articulation and speed!!! She's yodelling a song called chimney bells - it's lovely. It's pretty much like a scat singing, but more similar to vocalise.

1) Here she does it just beautifully, and very fast. Image and sound are great:

2) Here she does it absurdly fast:

3) And here she's having some trouble doing it because the audience starts to laugh and talk and doesn't let her focus on the thing! Hahaha. The guy operating the camera seems to have had some problems there, but it's ok for a laugh. :))))

If you liked it and didn't know her, and would like to listen to her normal (lol) songs or renditions of songs, her name is Jewel.

Boys would find her pretty, I guess.

I love her singing, she's very talented and able to deliver with flair songs of many different music styles and genres.

Take care you all!!!

She's pretty famous, not as obscure as you think. The first video was so annoying yet so amazing. I don't think much of her original songs but those links have awesome stuff. Checked her Wikipedia page out and turns out she's a Lyric Soprano.

Is it just me or does she have bad(misaligned) teeth like our Lord God Freddie?

Yes, she has! Very good remark. Tori Amos suffers from it a bit too, she talked about it in an interview and how it affects her singing.

I have it too. And I'm cross-eyed and use glasses. Unfortunately, the talent didn't come along. lol

Yes, she has some classical background. I like the way she sings, especially live because the studio verions of her songs are a bit dull, and she comes across as very talented. When time allows, take a loot at her rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" in this same gig, I guess - it's the one from 2006: it's as beautiful as Judy Garland's original but she adds more power to it, I guess. Beautiful orchestration too. She's good at holding the notes too, she doesn't sound as if she were doing an out-of-tune and out-of-control vibrato when she has to deliver a longer phrase which puts her to challenge in regard either to breathing or range.

Cheers, take care and best regards! :))))
