As requested for anyone his input to share Brian May solo concerts in this topic: http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1175549/brian-may-quality-frenzy-index-here.aspx I go share a few Flac concerts. This time I share the Rome concert from 1998-06-05. Tracklist: 1 - Only Make Believe 2 - On My Way Up 3 - Driven By You 4 - Why Don't We Try Again 5 - Tie Your Mother Down 6 - Let Your Heart Rule Your Head 7 - Hammer To Fall This concert is checked with Audiochecker to see if the files are from lossy sources. If Audiochecker has some negativ advise, I have checked the concerts also with Tau-analyzer. If okay with Tau, I see them as lossless source. I don't have any lineage of this concert because it's coming from the Queenhub. In the early days of the Queenhub, it wasn't normal to create txt files with lineage info. Thanks to the original taper/uploader of this concert where ever you are ! For people who can't use torrents: Mediafire-link to this share: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=86e6b684c81c81907069484bded33bcd9afb470075b601ba Rapidshare-links to this share: http://rapidshare.com/files/223088364/1998-06-05_Rome.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/223096596/1998-06-05_Rome.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/223096182/1998-06-05_Rome.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/223096183/1998-06-05_Rome.part4.rar Best regards and have a good download, Bokkepoot "We think it's better to play Under Pressure badly than not play it at all" Brian May; Manchester 04-05-05

My God you're so fast !!! Have some sleep in between ! ;o) Come on people, let's join forces ! That's tremendous and REALLY interesting to have a view of a member of the band outside the usual format we all know . Brian's sound is a part of the Queen sound, and this part is applied in different projects, with different members. This one is a part of the "promo tour" for the "Another World tour", the tour promoting the second solo album of Brian May. If you want to listen to a music which is closse but a little heavier than Queen's albums, you can try yourself with this album !! You can enjoy some good live stuff here too, and during the subsequent tour, even if I think the first tour was really enjoyable (I don't really know how that one went). Cozy Powell sadly is absent here, he just passed away two months before, may him Rest in peace now. But the other musicians are not that bad !! Brian May is in good company, look at the lineup (thanks to Martin and his fabulous website www.queenconcerts.com, check out the pictures too !): Brian May (lead vocals, lead guitar) Steve Ferrone (drums and percussion) (Eric Singer came a bit later, he hadn't been recruited yet by Brian) Jamie Moses (guitar, backing vocals) Neil Murray (bass) Spike Edney (keyboards) Zoe Nicholas (backing vocals) Susie Webb (backing vocals) And surely Biran enjoyed a lot his solo ventures on a live stage. So did the fans ! Moreover, this is a semi-acoustic show ! No Red Special, Brian May plays on other guitars than his famous one ! Hammer To Fall in a slow/fast maneer... No doubt, this is worth a listen ! Many thanks for this nice share, added to the index now. Regards, Olivier, Belgium. wanna trade ?

Thanks Marco, I only had this lossy. Always liked the Another World promo tour gigs. Something Roger and Brian should do in the near future in my opinion.

But what would they promote ? ;o) Maybe the issue of rare tracks from the vaults ? A second QPR album ? Brian May or Roger Taylor solo albums ? I think that from those three, the last one seems the most possible (or the less impossible) in the very next few years; still, I doubt that will happen ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. LOL you're right. There's nothing to promote really. But I would like to see Rog + Brian saying: "well we had our day in the sun, did the big arenas / stadiums, great Paul contributed, Now let's do something really different" Kinda like Page and Plant did in the mid 90's. Just Brian + Roger and some musicians. Semi acoustic and intimate in small venues. Would be totally fab. Regards, Ducksoup Regards, Ducksoup ;-) btw your discs are on their way to Belgium!

But who's gonna sing like Robert Plant ? The man himself ? Brian May on harp + Roger Taylor on Timpani + Robert Plant singing + Paul Rodgers at the bar + an egyptian orchestra, that would be a nice combo ! But, who's gonna play bass ? Regards, Olivier, Belgium. wanna trade ?

Thank you for all your great uploads Marco! A question about this one, I got it in the hub in 2 big flac files, one of 1/2 hour and the other the rest naturally.... Is the version you've shared here the same as mine or did you edit it?
