Indeed! There's two guitars on the track though, the other is my Red Special.

How would you rate the Variax then? I was thinking of getting one.

It really is excellent for recording. The near total lack of interference is just great, it does allow for some very subtle playing (although I'm still trying to kill the automatic noise gate on my computer, it keeps chopping out the quiet notes). Once you play with it for a while, you will start to hear that a lot of the different sounds seem like they're being made with the same algorithims or something, so some of the models begin to sound a little 'samey'. A lot of them are pretty good imitations for what it is though (and I got the cheapest one, so...) I've not really gigged with it before, probably wouldn't like to any time soon... to me, it FEELS like a really cheap, nasty, flimsy whore of a guitar. But the sounds are as good as one can expect. The 12 string stuff is hit and miss. As a texture it sounds good; in context, with other instruments. But if you play it on it's own, you start to hear the pitch shifter make little mistakes here and there. I'm glad I got it, anyway :) It's been very handy in recording.

Its the recording processess that I would probably use it for as well, so its handy to know that there is no interference. The 12 string sounds maybe wouldnt bother me as I have the real thing, but the other sounds might intrigue me more. Thanks for the reply Zeb, I appreciate it.

You're damn lucky you don't have a nose the size of your brother's.

I actually do have a rather large and misshapen nose; his is something I'd gladly wear for the ability to sing the way he does...

That was great! I enjoyed the write-up as well. Good job on the sound-effects. Ha.

Brilliant, Zebonka! Maybe your brother should send this to Queen, since PR is gone! Seriously good voice!
