In sorting through some old boxes of Queen 'stuff' from my childhood I came accross a few old calenders which I had - I used to use each of the pictures as posters (as you do!).

Anyway, one of the pictures was of the band just prior to appearing on stage.  Wondering if anyone knows who the official photographer was - all performers pictures were taken in front of a tarpaulin.  I don't have the Live Aid book, but it may well have been detailed within that.

In my view, one of the most important Queen pictures ever taken - you never see it in any books or even online (would be delighted to be proved wrong!).  Any thoughts appreciated!

This might be the fella your after.

His own site.
http://www.denis.co.uk/
He usually sells some prints of Queen in concert, but his site is being updated for the last
4 months, you were able to browse loads of his Queen shots from the 70's to knebworth on his old site.

It's the same guy that took the famous knebworth shot attached below.

Excellent!  Thanks for the quick resolution.  I just have a fairly old tatty picture of this.

As I say, a classic shot taken just before the band made history.  Surely worth a large poster with the Live Aid logo along with a date and exact time the image was taken - that would be cool!

Thanks again.

Hi thanks.  Yes - that's the Live Aid photo!  Looks a little bit blurred compared to the version but superb thanks.  The Knebworth helicopter shot from Live Magic is an iconic image as well!
