That said, an official release of the Hyde Park show on CD or DVD would render this share to be obsolete, anyway. So in the meantime, enjoy!

Exactly.. :-) It's very difficult to create it, as you must ensure that both sources play at the same speed, and that you don't get the phasing effect from being 0.01% off. My friend Helmut from Germany did an excellent job on that one.

Dear, Sir Gh, how are you? Thanks again for the share. I'm going to download it as soon as possible. Why do you think this concert is so highly-regarded by Queen fans and even by the band, it seems? Do you think it's because of the performance or for a, let's say, historical reason? Was it a big deal back then to play in the Hyde Park? Was it still (?) a prestigious location for rock bands to play? I remember watching the Stones' "At the Park" and I enjoy that concert - it happened just after Brian Jone's death and I don't know how many people gathered there to listen to them. Mick Jagger sings with two or three microphones at times, it's funny. That said, even though the Stones concert is way older, the footage is in much better shape than Queen's concert in the park some 6 years later - do you know how it was shot? What kind of film? Doing an audience recording of this must have been hell, the bands could barely make themselves heard there, at least judging from the Stones' performance, which has this thing of Mick Jagger singing with 10 microphones. lol For those who don't know it yet, here it goes again: Sir GH has an excellent website with careful analysis of each Queen live recording available out there as of now: www.queenlive.ca Well, thanks for the great share again. I'm curious to listen to this one in better quality. Thanks for the work and dedication. Take care! Yara. Yara

Not too many bands had done it up to that point, so it was indeed a pretty big deal. The numbers themselves were huge... a free concert for 150,000+ fans wasn't too commonplace in 1976. Plenty of people must have thought that history would view it on a grand scale.
